  • 1 1/2 c. corn meal
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 c. cream-style corn
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 c. bacon drippings
  • 1/4 lb. hoop cheese, grated
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. sweet milk
  • chopped hot pepper (jalapeno, to suit taste)
  • dash of red cayenne pepper (if prefer hot)

Directions
