  • 1 1/2 c. self-rising cornmeal
  • 1/2 c. cream-style corn
  • 1 medium diced onion
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 1/2 c. jalapeno pepper
  • 1/2 lb. grated cheese
  • 1/2 c. oil or bacon grease
