Ingredients
- 3 to 4 Tbsp. flour
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 (17 oz.) can cream-style corn
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 c. (8 oz.) shredded cheese
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 can chopped peppers
Directions

1Combine first 8 ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

2Cook ground beef until browned; drain well and set aside.

3Pour half of cornbread mixture into a greased 10 1/2-inch skillet.

4Sprinkle evenly with ground meat and top with cheese, onion and peppers. Pour remaining batter on top.

5Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
