- potato buds (enough for 4 servings)
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/4 c. sliced green onion
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/4 c. sliced black olives
- 2 to 3 tsp. chili powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
Directions

1Heat oven to 425°.

2Grease a large pie plate.

3Prepare mashed potatoes as directed on box except decrease water to 1 cup and omit the milk.

4Stir in egg and green onion.

5Spread mixture evenly against bottom and sides of pie plate.

6Bake 20 to 25 minutes until light brown.

7Cook ground beef and onion until beef is brown; drain. Stir remaining ingredients except cheese. Cover and cook over low heat 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Spoon into shell.

8Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 3 minutes until cheese is melted.

9Garnish with sour cream, fried green pepper and tomato, if desired.

10Makes 4 to 6 servings.
