Ingredients

  • 2 qt. cooked and ground venison or beef
  • 4 qt. ground apples
  • 1 gal. sweet cider
  • 2 Tbsp. cloves
  • 2 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1 qt. sugar
  • 2 1/2 qt. raisins
  • suet (optional)

Directions

    Put all together in large container.

    (I use my 7-quart pressure cooker bottom.)

    Boil hard 10 minutes.

    Cook until apples are soft and mixture has thickened.

    Stir often to keep from burning.

    Can while still boiling; no need to pressure can.
