Mock Cabbage Roll Casserole

- medium head cabbage
- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 3/4 c. rice
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. parsley
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce or tomato soup
Directions

1Take medium head of cabbage; cut into 2-inch pieces.

2Parboil in salt water until tender; drain.

3Cook meat.

4Cook rice.

5Saute onion and add parsley.

6Mix together meat, rice, onion and parsley.

7Grease deep casserole.

8Put layer of cabbage, then layer of meat, just enough to cover cabbage.

9Continue to layer until all ingredients are used.

10Pour tomato sauce or soup (diluted with 1/2 can water) over entire casserole.

11Bake covered at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes.
