  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. hot water
  • 1 1/2 to 2 c. cranberries
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cook first 4 ingredients about 10 minutes.

    Thicken mixture with cornstarch, dissolved in a little water.

    Then add vanilla. Pour filling into a pastry lined pan.

    Cover top with pastry and crimp edges.

    Cut large circle in top about 2-inches for steam to escape.

    Bake at 450° for 10 minutes and 350° for 40 minutes. Cover top with foil when half baked to prevent pie from becoming too brown.
