  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. lard or butter Crisco
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. ginger
  • 1/2 c. hot water
  • 3 small eggs
  • 4 c. flour

    Mix all together.

    Turn out dough on well-floured board and knead well.

    Add flour to make stiff.

    Roll out very thin.

    Cut with scalloped pie pan, place in a 9-inch round cake pan and bake at 350° until golden brown.

    Cool.
