- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 (12 ounce) can tomato paste
- 2 (29 ounce) cans tomato puree
- 12 ounces water
- 2 (12 ounce) cans beer or 24 ounces red wine
- 1 14 teaspoons parsley
- 1 -4 garlic clove, minced
- 1 14 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 12 cup sugar
- 2 lbs ground beef, browned and drained
- 9 -12 lasagna noodles, cooked according to package
- 1 lb ricotta cheese or 1 lb cottage cheese
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 34 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 -1 12 cup mozzarella cheese (i prefer slicing this cheese)
- 1 -1 12 cup monterey jack cheese
Directions

1First in a large pot saute onion and garlic in 2 tablespoons of olive oil until tender.

3Tomato paste, tomato puree, water, beer, parsley, salt pepper and sugar.

4Simmer 6+ hours uncovered.

5Cook your ground beef, I like to add extra garlic, onions and Italian seasoning while cooking

6Boil your noodles.

7In a medium size bowl make your cheese mix, the ricotta(or cottage cheese), parsley, and oregano.

8In a 13X9 inch pan.

9Layer ingredients as follows.

101 sauce.

112 single layer of noodles.

123 Mixture.

134 Cheeses.

14Repeat until pan is full makes 3 to 4 layers.

15Top with Sauce and more cheese.

16Cover with foil and bake 350 for 45mins to 1 hour.

17Let stand for 10 to 15 mins.
