- 6 c. boiling water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 4 Tbsp. flour
Directions

1Bring water to a boil.

2Add salt.

3Slowly add cornmeal, constantly stirring (wire whisk works best).

4Continue stirring, until cornmeal thickens, about 5 minutes.

5Reduce heat and let simmer, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes.

6Let cool. Quickly add flour to mixture.

7Pour mush into an oiled loaf pan. Refrigerate overnight.

8Cut 1/4-inch slices, coat with flour and fry in oil or fat until golden and crunchy crust is achieved, approximately 15 minutes.
