Mushroom Casserole

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 lb. mushrooms, sliced and slightly cooked
  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. stuffing mix (Pepperidge Farm) or 2 boxes Stove Top stuffing
  • 1 lb. Velveeta cheese, shredded or sliced thin
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 c. half and half cream

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

    Wash, slice and cook mushrooms slightly (5 minutes).

    Drain.

    Melt butter in water.

    Combine with stuffing mix.

    Layer mushrooms, cheese and then stuffing in a 13 x 9-inch buttered casserole dish.

    Repeat, ending with stuffing. Dot with butter.

    Just before cooking, pour over half and half.
