- 3 c. coarsely chopped fresh mushrooms
- 2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
- 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- salt
- 4 Tbsp. snipped parsley
- 1 c. sour cream
- 12 slices day old bread
- paprika
Directions

1Over low flame, saute mushrooms and onion in butter until soft; drain, if necessary.

2Add salt to taste.

3Combine parsley and sour cream; add mushrooms and onion.

4Chill several hours or overnight.

5Trim crust from bread; cut into 3 strips or into quarters.

6Spread with mushroom mixture; dust with paprika.

7Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.

8Makes 3 to 4 dozen appetizers.
