  • 1/4 c. oleo
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. sweet milk
  • 1/4 c. Crisco
  • 2 1/2 c. cake flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp. salt

Directions

    Cream the shortening and sugar well.

    Add egg, one at a time, beating well.

    Add milk and flour alternately; mix well.
  4. 4
    Bake 3 or 4 layers.
  5. 5
    Use any filling; my favorite is Seven Minute Frosting.
