  • 1 c. hot coffee
  • 4 c. sifted flour
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. raisins or nuts

Directions

    Mix sausage and hot coffee; sift in dry ingredients.

    Add alternately with milk to the sausage mixture.

    Add nuts or raisins.

    Mix well by hand.

    Bake in well-greased loaf or tube pan 1 to 1 1/2 hours at 350°.

    Cool 10 minutes in pan before turning out.
