  • 1 medium bell pepper, cut in fine long strips
  • 1 medium onion, cut in fine long strips
  • 1 lb. meat, ground beef or 1-inch chicken breast strips
  • 1 pkg. taco mix seasoning
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • taco sauce
  • sour cream (optional)
  • tortilla chips

Directions

    In large skillet, lightly brown meat; drain.

    Add bell pepper and onion strips.

    Add taco seasoning and 1/2 cup water.

    Simmer on low until onions and bell pepper are tender.

    Line bottom of large serving pan with chips.

    Top with meat mixture.

    Add cheese on top with taco sauce and sour cream.
