Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. beef chorizo
  • 1 lb. onions, chopped
  • hot pepper sauce
  • 1 (30 oz.) can refried beans
  • 1 (4 oz.) can diced green chiles
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded Jack cheese
  • 1 (7 oz.) can Ortega green chile salsa
  • 6 green onions, chopped

Directions

    Crumble beef and chorizo into a large skillet.

    Add onions and cook until meat is browned; drain and add several drops of hot pepper sauce.

    Spread beans in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Spread meat mixture on top.

    Sprinkle with green onions, chiles and cheeses. Drizzle salsa over all.

    Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes.

    Serve with guacamole and sour cream.

    Garnish with black olives.

    Tuck tortilla chips around edges and serve.
