- 1 1/4 c. shortening or 1 c. lard
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, well-beaten
- 5 Tbsp. water
- 1 Tbsp. cider vinegar
Directions

1Sift flour and salt.

2Cut shortening in.

3Combine egg, water and vinegar. Pour liquid into flour mixture all at once.

4Blend with spoon until flour is all moistened.

5This is an easy crust to handle and can be re-rolled, without toughening.

6Keeps in refrigerator up to 2 weeks.

7Yields 2 double crust pies.
