- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 beaten egg
- 6 tsp. cold water
- 1 tsp. vinegar
Directions

1Sift flour with salt.

2Cut in the shortening with a pastry blender until crumbly.

3Mix in egg, water and vinegar.

4Chill or roll out immediately and fit into pie pans.

5Makes 4 (9-inch) crusts.

6Prick bottoms and sides with fork.

7Bake at 375° until golden brown.

8Leftover balls of dough can be wrapped and frozen for use later.
