- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 5 tsp. cold water
- 1 tsp. vinegar
Directions

1Combine flour and salt in a large bowl, cut in shortening. Combine egg, water and vinegar; mix well.

2Pour liquid ingredients into dry ones.

3Mix until flour is moistened and dough is easy to handle.

4Divide into 3 equal parts.

5Roll out one part at a time on a floured board.

6Dough may be covered and refrigerated for up to 1 week.

7Dough may also be frozen.

8Makes pastry for three 9-inch pies.
