- 1 lb. navy, pea or kidney beans
- 1 medium whole onion
- salt pork
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/4 tsp. ginger
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Rinse beans.

2Cover with water and soak overnight.

3To same water, add remaining ingredients.

4Cook in pressure cooker at 15 pounds pressure for 25 to 30 minutes, in covered beanpot.

5Bake in a 350° oven for 5 to 6 hours or in covered slow cooker at low temperature for 6 to 8 hours.
