  • 2 cups rolled oats (NOT the instant variety)
  • 1 Tbs. butter
  • 2 1/2 tsp. yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 Tbs. honey
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. salt

Set the bowl aside about 10 minutes for the oats to cool.","2":"In a small bowl whisk together the yeast, warm water and honey. Set the bowl aside for the yeast to proof (foam).","4":"Stir the proofed yeast into the oats.","6":"Stir in the brown sugar and 1 cup of flour. Cover the bowl and let rise 1 hour.","8":"Stir in the remaining flour and salt until well combined.
