- 1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine
- 1 egg
- 12 teaspoon vanilla
- 12 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 12 cup walnuts, finely chopped
- colored sugar sprinkle
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.

3Add egg and extracts and beat until light and fluffy.

4Add flour and nuts and beat until just moistened.

5Cover and chill until firm enough to handle.

6Shape into 1-inch balls.

7Place 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet.

8Flatten with a glass dipped in colored sugar.

9Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until cookies are set.
