  • 8 c. flour
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 4 cakes yeast (silver paper cakes)
  • 5 sticks oleo
  • 7 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 c. lukewarm water
  • 4 lb. nuts, ground

Directions

    Rub flour and oleo together.

    Mix water, egg yolk, sugar and yeast together.

    When ready, add to flour and oleo.

    Divide into small balls.

    Roll out onto floured surface.

    Spread with nut filling.

    Cut into wedges like a pie.

    Roll, starting with wider end.

    Bake at 400° for 15 minutes if small, at 350° if a big roll. Rub with egg and sugar before baking.
