- 2 c. sifted flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 c. soft or melted fat
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Heat oven to 400°.

2Grease muffin cups.

3Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in large bowl.

4Make a well in the center.

5In mixing bowl, beat egg until foamy.

6Add milk and melted fat.

7Add milk mixture to dry ingredients.

8Stir in nuts. Stir until mixture is moist, but slightly lumpy.

9Fill muffin cups, 1/2 to 2/3 full.

10Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
