Ingredients
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. hot scalded milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 5 to 5 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Soften yeast in water.

2Combine in bowl sugar, butter, milk and salt.

3Cool to lukewarm.

4Blend in eggs and yeast.

5Gradually blend in flour to make a stiff dough.

6Knead until smooth and satiny.

7Place in greased bowl.

8Let rise until light.

9Divide into 3 or 4 parts.

10Roll out, spread with Nut Filling (or poppy seed filling).

11Roll like jelly roll.

12Put on baking pans.

13Let rise again.

14Bake in 350° oven until done (about 35 minutes).
