- 1 cup rolled oats
- 12 cup oil
- 4 -6 cups apple juice or 4 -6 cups cider
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 14 cup concentrated artificial sweetener (optional)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions

1Soak whole or steel cut oats overnight.

2Roast oats in 1/4 cup oil, until lightly browned.

5Combine juice (adjust liquid content according to texture desired.)

6and oats into a heavy pot, and bring to boil, stirring occasionally.

7Add remaining oil, salt, and sweetener if desired.

8Lower flame, cover, and simmer at least 30 minutes.

9Cook whole or steel cut oats at least 1 1/2 hours, or pressure cook for at least 45-60 minutes.
