- 1 c. rolled oats
- 2 c. boiling water
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/3 c. warm water
- 2 Tbsp. butter, softened
- 1/2 c. molasses or honey
- 2 tsp. salt
- 6 c. (approximately) unbleached flour (Heckers)
Directions

1Pour boiling water over oats; let stand and partially cool. Melt yeast in warm water and add liquified yeast to above.

2Add butter, molasses or honey and salt to oats and yeast.

3Add 2 cups flour and stir well.

4Add 2 more cups of flour which may be difficult but will gradually blend in.

5Add last 2 cups of flour, a little at a time, while kneading well until dough is smooth and elastic (takes about 15 minutes).
