  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Pour boiling water over oatmeal.

    Stir and set aside.

    Cream together the sugars and Crisco.

    Add eggs, beating after each.

    Add flour gradually.

    Add the rest of ingredients.

    Whip up oatmeal and add to creamed ingredients.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
