  • 1 c. quick-cooking oatmeal
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. nutmeats
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Cut margarine into small pieces.

    Add boiling water and oats, let stand 20 minutes; add other ingredients, beat, bake for 30 minutes at 350°.

    Use Broiled Icing on warm cake.

    Then place back in oven until lightly browned.
