- 1 c. oatmeal
- 2 c. boiling water
- 2 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. oleo
- 2/3 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 5 c. flour or more
Directions

1Pour boiling water over oatmeal, salt and shortening. Dissolve brown sugar and yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. When mixture is cool, add yeast mixture.

2Add flour, beating after each addition.

3Knead for 10 minutes.

4May have to add more flour if it is too sticky.

5Let rise twice.

6Make into rolls.

7Let rise.

8Bake 30 to 40 minutes in 350° oven.
