- pastry for 2 crust 10-inch pie
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon or nutmeg
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Line pie pan with pastry.

2Mix sugar and cinnamon. Add apples and mix well.

3Place apples in pan. Dot with butter.

4Cover pie with crust, cutting slits for steam to escape.

5Seal edges and flute.

6Bake in preheated 425° oven for 50 minutes or until crust is well browned and apples are cooked through. If edge seems to brown too quickly, cover with a strip of foil.
