  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. lemon extract
  • 1 c. sour milk

    Cream butter until fluffy.

    Add well beaten egg yolks and sugar; beat well.

    Sift flour, soda and cornstarch 3 times.

    Add alternately the flour and sour milk.

    Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.

    Bake for 45 minutes, or until firm to the touch, in moderate 375° oven.
