Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. buttermilk or more
  • 1 Tbsp. shortening or butter
  • flour

Directions

    Add the flour to the buttermilk and shortening until slightly stiff.

    Drop with tablespoon in hot oil or shortening in skillet. Fry until brown on both sides.

    Mash down slightly after you turn them once. A good substitute for biscuits.
