- 1 Tbsp. shortening or butter
- flour
Directions

1Add the flour to the buttermilk and shortening until slightly stiff.

2Drop with tablespoon in hot oil or shortening in skillet. Fry until brown on both sides.

3Mash down slightly after you turn them once. A good substitute for biscuits.
