- 1 c. butter, softened
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 (8 oz.) sour cream
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. mace
Directions

1Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating well.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3Combine flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture.

4Alternate with sour cream; begin and end with flour.

5Stir in mace and vanilla.

6Pour into greased and floured tube pan.

7Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours, until separated from sides of pan.

8Cool 10 minutes.

9Remove from pan.
