- 3 to 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 c. very warm water (120~ to 130~)
- 2 Tbsp. butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1/3 c. butter
- 3 Tbsp. sugar and 3 Tbsp. cinnamon, mixed
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2Grease (not oil) a 12-cup fluted tube pan.

3Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon sugar and cinnamon.

4In a large bowl, blend 1 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt, yeast, water, margarine and egg at low speed until moistened.

5Beat 3 minutes at medium speed.

6By hand, stir in remaining flour.

7Knead dough on floured surface until smooth, about 1 minute.

8Press or roll dough to a 15 x 20-inch rectangle.

9Using pastry wheel or sharp knife, cut dough into diamond shape pieces by cutting into 1 1/2 to 2-inch strips diagonally across dough.

10In a shallow pan, melt 1/3 cup butter.

11Dip each piece in melted butter and layer in prepared pan, overlapping the pieces.

12Sprinkle each layer with sugar and cinnamon mixture.

13Do remaining pieces of dough the same way, making several layers.

14Cover; let rise in a warm place until light and doubled in size, about 45 to 60 minutes.

15Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until deep, golden brown.

16Cool 2 minutes.

17Invert onto serving dish.

18Serve warm.

19Makes a 10-inch ring pull-apart loaf.
