Onion "Kuchen" Bread

  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 (10 count) can refrigerator biscuits
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton dairy sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. poppy seed

Directions

    Separate onions into rings.

    Saute in butter in heavy skillet over low heat until transparent.

    Spray round cake pan with Pam. Place biscuits in cake pan.

    Spoon onion mixture on top of biscuits.

    Combine egg, sour cream and salt.

    Spoon over onion mixture.

    Sprinkle with poppy seed.

    Bake at 375° for 1 hour or until topping is set.

    Slice in wedges.

    Serve warm.
