  • 2 1/2 cup all-purpose or bread flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 packages regular or quick active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp.)
  • 3 tbsp olive or vegetable oil
  • 1 cup very warm water (120-130F)
  • 1 lb lean ground beef, ground pork, ground lamb or ground turkey
  • 1 large onion chopped or 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped (1 cup)
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning
  • 2 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 can pizza sauce (8 oz.)
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms, drained or 1 can chopped green chiles, drained (4.5 oz)
  • 2 cup shredded mozzarella, Cheddar, monterey jack or brick cheese (8 oz)
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan or romano cheese

    In large bowl, mix 1 cup of the flour, the sugar, salt and yeast.
