- 1 cake yeast
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. orange juice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. grated orange rind
- 3 c. sifted flour
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shredded candied orange peel
Directions

1Combine yeast and sugar.

2Let stand a few minutes.

3Heat orange juice to lukewarm and add to yeast.

4Add remaining ingredients, except candied orange peel.

5Beat well.

6Let rise until doubled in bulk.

7Knead in orange peel on well floured board.

8Shape into a loaf and let rise until doubled in bulk, or until light.

9Bake in moderate oven (375°) 30 to 40 minutes. Makes 1 loaf.
