- prepared pie shell
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 grated California orange peel
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. coarsely broken pecans
- 3 Tbsp. juice of orange
Directions

1Spread with tips of fingers just enough of egg mixture on bottom and sides of pie shell to coat it.

2Place in oven for 5 minutes at 425°; this prevents a soggy crust.

3Add to rest of egg mixture the rest of the ingredients.

4Mix and pour into pie shell. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.

5Test with knife for doneness.
