  • 2 c. pecans
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates
  • 1 lb. orange slice candy
  • 1 can or c. coconut
  • 1 c. butter or margarine (2 sticks)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour (plain)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk

Directions

    Cut nuts, dates and orange candy into small pieces.

    Add coconut.

    Melt butter and pour over nut mixture.

    In another bowl, mix eggs, sugar, flour, soda and milk.

    Pour over the nut mixture and mix well in a large bowl.

    Bake in tube pan 2 hours at 300°. Let cool in pan.
