Ingredients: 3 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour; 1 tsp. baking powder; 1/2 tsp. salt; 1 c. oleo or butter; 1 1/2 c. sugar; 2 eggs; 2 tsp. vanilla

3 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. oleo or butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.

Set aside.

Beat butter or oleo and sugar, eggs and vanilla in bowl until fluffy and light.

Stir in dry ingredients.

Chill 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 400°.

Roll out small portions of chilled dough on floured board to 1/4-inch thickness.

Cut with floured ornament cookie cutters. Place on greased cookie sheet about 1-inch apart.

Bake 6 to 8 minutes.

Transfer to racks to cool and decorate as you wish. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
