  • 2 1/2 lb. fryer chicken
  • 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

    Cut chicken into pieces.

    Mix flour, salt, paprika and pepper.

    Coat chicken with flour mixture.

    Heat 1/4 c. margarine/butter and 1/4 c. shortening in oblong pan, 13 X 9, in 425° oven until melted. Place coated chicken in pan.

    Cook uncovered 30 minutes.

    Turn chicken; cook uncovered about 30 minutes longer.
