- 3 3/4 c. flour
- 1 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 c. white Karo
- 1 (2 oz.) can Spanish peanuts
Directions

1Mix flour, butter, brown sugar and salt until crumbly.

2Pat flat into pans.

3Bake at 375°

4for 10 minutes.

5Melt chips, butter, water and syrup and pour into peanuts.

6Spread over hot crumb base and return to oven 10 minutes.

7Loosen edges while warm.

8Cool and cut into desired sizes.

9Makes 48 (2-inch) squares.
