  • 4 lean pork steaks
  • 4 scrubbed potatoes (skins left on), sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced

Directions

    Brown pork steaks in large skillet, then remove pork to roasting pan.

    Make gravy with flour, water, salt and pepper in skillet with meat drippings.

    Add 1 teaspoon of instant coffee to gravy or enough to give gravy a nice brown color.

    Place sliced potatoes and onion on top of meat; pour gravy over all.

    Cover the roasting pan; bake at 300° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
