  • 2 lb. cubed stew beef, trimmed of fat
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 to 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. paprika
  • 2 Tbsp. salad oil
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 1/2 c. thinly sliced carrots
  • 1 c. thinly sliced celery
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans mushrooms (pieces and stems), drained and rinsed

Directions

    In a plastic bag, combine flour, salt, pepper and paprika. Add a few pieces of meat at a time and shake bag, coating well on all sides.
