  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • several carrots and potatoes, cut up
  • 3 Tbsp. tapioca
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 slice bread, torn in small pieces
