- 1 pkg. fresh oysters
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 gal. milk, scalded
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- chopped mushrooms (optional)
Directions

1Heat oysters in their liquor; add butter, seasonings and when edges of oysters begin to curl, add milk.

2Bring just to boiling, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; cut butter into 6 pieces. Place in heated soup bowls.

3Pour over soup and sprinkle with more pepper.

4A few chopped mushrooms may be added if desired.
