- 3 gal. pot whole milk
- 1 soup spoonful salt
- 1 rounded baby spoonful pepper
- 3 tsp. Schilling savor salt
- 1/5 lb. butter
- 1 to 2 qt. oyster meat
- butter (garnish)
Directions

1Heat milk in double boiler until as hot as possible.

2Add salt, pepper and Schilling savor salt.

3Then add butter.

4When all are combined thoroughly, add oyster meat.

5Simmer 1/2 hour or until oysters surface.

6Skim off oysters and portion into serving bowls.

7Let milk mixture simmer 15 to 30 minutes longer, then ladle over oysters.

8Top each serving with pat of butter.
