- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 Tbsp. margarine or butter
- 1 qt. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 pt. oysters
Directions

1Slowly cook onion in butter until tender.

2Add milk, salt and pepper.

3Heat until hot, but do not boil.

4Add oysters with juice. Cook until edges of oysters begin to curl.

5Spoon stew into warm soup bowls and serve with crackers.
