- 1 lb. dried pea beans
- 2 medium onions
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 1/3 c. ketchup
- 1/4 lb. bacon, diced
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Simmer beans in 6 cups of water for 1 hour.

2Allow to stand, covered, for 2 hours or until softened.

3Drain.

4Put all ingredients in a crock-pot.

5Add 1 cup of water.

6Stir to blend. Cover pot and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours or on high 5 to 6 hours.

7Stir occasionally.

8Makes 8 to 10 servings.
